That’s cheating! Corrie’s always good, but there are some good gripping storylines at the moment which I hope they’ll cover well.
Hi marpaul…had a look at link…Sure is some interesting stuff coming up.
I couldn’t resist a peek:lol: Oh, it does sound exciting.
:-d:-d:-d:-d
It’s nice to see that Corrie is still watched and admired. I’ve never watched any soaps but I was close to Corrie back in the eighties. At the time a friend of mine worked with Bill Podmore and Paul Abbot as a scriptwriter and storyliner - he did the famous Blackpool tram storyline. In all he wrote some sixty or seventy scripts, worked on Emmerdale and did the Corrie Christmas specials. He’s retired now but still writes. It was a magical time with some magical characters to write for and they were written with a great sense of humour and gentle wit and comedy. The characters were waht my friend called ‘weight’ - people who gave great performances because they were actors from theatre or the variety stage and not TV stars who could read a script. I can’t comment on the current actors simply because I’ve never seen them perform. One thing I can add though is that "Tracey’ is an outstanding actress and that she auditioned for the part alongside the original Tracey for her ‘comeback’ part in Corrie and won the part.

I agree with you there Fireisland…Tracey is a very good actress.
I can’t abide Tracy-luv, but we’re not supposed to like her, being the Corrie bitch! That’s what makes her a good actress - because she’s so believable - but wouldn’t you just love to give her a smack?
I was horrified when Kirsty struck poor Tyrone across the mouth, and there’s yet another powerful storyline if they use it, that being domestic violence, which many people suffer.
Tommy Duckworth is such a sap, but it’s not his fault. He never knew his dad all these years but it’s obvious his father has scammed him out of his life savings.
Poor, poor Julie. That had me in tears tonight.
Tonight’s Corrie was absolutely fantastic. Brilliant acting, extremely sad storylines and about a man who cared very much, and the horror of a man who just didn’t care at all.
I must agree and disagree with you Molly , yep agree Corrie as been absolutely fantastic , but sorry i cant agree with you on the brilliant acting , well i can apart from one that is … “Terry” Duckworth . (Nigel Pivaro.) … god cant act for toffee ,as my mam used to say … but there again we all have are own opinions .
That’s a fiver you owe me for calling me Molly.
I could never stand Nigel Pivaro so I’m glad he’s gone again.
Ta Dobbie, that’s going straight in me purse!
So, back to Corrie now. To be honest I’m finding the storyline about the loan shark a bit frustrating, and I can’t see why the debt of the father would pass to the son.
I agree with Dabby about Terry Duckworth, his acting is awful and I’m pleased to see the back of him.
I think Eileen’s boyfriend,mr Fireman is a pain in the neck,he cant act for toffee and i am very disapointed that he didnt lift the toaster out of the sink because he would have died too. I didnt like the story line about him and his wife. It may be a topical illness but its not very nice for people who have relatives who have the illness.
It was worth the nine thousand to see the back of him:lol:
He’s the worst actor I have ever seen.
Mesco m you took the words right out of my mouth,
