The Alien's Universal thread

Yes, but you have to come back, and, observing something from outside in can make things worse.

ooh la la! It’s really happened

There were one or two glitches as to be expected but, at least the toilet fixed, according to the news.

You heard the expression, “keep doing it over and over, expecting the different outcomes, but they remain mostly the same outcomes!” HaHa, different huh!

What in a film backlot…
There’s a good reason why they’re having another go, because it didn’t work out too well the last time, otherwise there would have been an American Missile base on there already.
There’s no way a human could survive on the surface of the moon, not for even just a minute, suit or no suit.
Not even burning coal would help because there’s no oxygen for a fire…
I can’t believe that intelligent people can even fall for this sh*te, mind you, a lot have been suckered by global warming…
The Moon
:joy:

Putting the International space station in an orbit around earth above the junk 2000 miles makes common sense. The moon and beyond is BS.

they want to mine the minerals. Many years ago I had a really disturbing dream. Terrorists had blown up the moon. The earth was in turmoil as a result. Now I wonder whether that could really happen one day. In any event it would make for a great disaster movie.

No more tides Annie, the oceans would become millponds.

Well I’m sorry NASA but I’ve been studying the moon every night with my binoculars, and not a sign of anyone going to it, or any flags on the surface… :009:

Sorry but NO! You don’t believe the massive Sun has any effect on the tides?

Course it does, it warms them up.

A warm tide? An interesting if obscure thought.

In your excitement to get one over on the Fox, you missed one vital point…
Do keep up Bruce, we were talking about the moon!

My understanding is that even the Hubble telescope can’t pick out the flag on the moon Foxy! :open_mouth:

Apparently without the moon Earth would wobble and we would lose our seasons. I am not surprised that people were so upset and scared in my dream. An explosion of the moon would be apocalyptic for life on Earth. I’ve never realised how important the moon is to life on our planet.

No, we were talking about tides:

Game, set and match!

I don’t think that is correct the seasons are caused by the axis tilt relative to the sun and wouldn’t the bits of the moon stay in orbit around us? I don’t know actually.

Mercury and Venus have no moons but Mars has two, the gas giants seem to have dozens.

According to NASA the axial tilt of the earth is stabilised by the moon’s gravitational pull. It could be fake news (OGF can verify)
