Well if the piece of scum that was arrested is indeed found guilty John then he and anyone supporting him in his foul mouthed abuse of a young player needs to be barred for life from Anfield and all football grounds in the country. Personally I would jail them for at least 5 years, no problem.
Now all the band wagon jumpers will be preparing to have a go at the Reds in light of the upcoming cup tie against Man Utd at Anfield in the light of the Suarez - Evra clash and of course the national media will do their utmost to stoke up the situation. Just hope it turns out to be a classic encounter with nothing adverse to blight it.
Keep your eyes peeled John, you never know, you just might see Neil Warnock in the vicinity of Sincil Bank! LOL
Surprised Bob that Warnock got the tintack. Ok, things were not good at Loftus Road, but like him or love him, you have to feel a bit sorry for Warnock, his squad are never really good enough to compete in the Premier League. As Hammer says, that bugger Hughes got the job after creeping around various grounds, got no time for that sort of behaviour.Reminds me of poor Dave Jones at Southampton, suspended on what proved to be a false sex charge. Who was sitting perched up in the directors box while this was going on? None other than that other ponce Glenn Hoddle, who then of course, got Jonesâs job. Got no shame them sods.
I heard on the local news tonight that a 20 year old male has been bailed in connection with the alleged racist remarks at Anfield, let us all hope he is dealt with swiftly and appropriately. A sine die ban on all grounds would be the first step if he is found guilty.
As far as the Suarez / Evra situation goes, I was kinda hoping that the hierarchy from both camps would lead from the front and be seen to bury the hatchet but not in each other for a while at least, surely for the sake of the game rivalry could be confined to the playing prowess of the teams.
Two of the games most charismatic clubs have a real chance to bury the canker of racism in football for good. It has been with us for far too long and did not just start with John Barnes and Viv Anderson.
Back in 1968 a certain Clyde Best overcame the most vicious taunts and abuse from âsupportersâ and fellow âprofessionalsâ alike. He turned that abuse round on his own and became one of our most loved and respected players.
Meanwhile, one thing about Neil Warnockâs old boss Tony Fernandes, he donât let the grass grow for long. I would think the Hughes thing if it is definate, has been a done deal for a while.
Back in May, Tony boy was heavily linked with a buying a share in or even taking over our club. The gruesome twosome and the spitting cobra rejected his advances and he moved on quickly to get into the ribs of QPR.
Blinkin heck, we might just have seen the back of BFS and the other leg irons that have emasculated our once fine club.
Looks like itâs really spreading now! What do I mean? This racism thing, on the local tv news earlier it was reported that police are studying cctv footage of Nottingham Forest fans chanting racist taunts at Leicester City fans in the recent FA Cup tie at The City Ground, to be quite honest when I looked at the pictures I couldnât really make out what they were chanting, just seemed liked good old fashioned banter, apparently the police are calling it hate chants but thanks to the media things have been cranked up all ready for the forthcoming replay at Leicester, as I said before, the bandwagon jumpers are rife, wonder who or what will be next?
Back to other matters and Mark Hughes has clambered back on the horse to be manager at QPR after the Londoners gave Neil Warnock the elbow, it is to be hoped that Sparky doesnât have too rough a ride and get thrown off the horse again, even with the promise of a ÂŁ20Million war chest to spend in the transfer window. Funny old game, as fickle as the weather.
Well its me again lads and I have got myself a new team Annie. Yes I like Arsene Wenger and of course the iceing on the cake is the return of Thiery Henry, ( not too keen on the beard) so its Arsenal for Annie until The six Nations at any rate.
Good to have you here Annie, Mr Henry certainly brought a smile out of Arsene, which was nice to see the old lad grinning again. I think Thierryâs comeback appearance was a good deal better than Mr Scholes for ManU.
I would love to include your team in our âones to watchâ reports and roundups for a bit of interest, at least it is interesting to me at any rate and we usually have a good response.
Sadly, never been to the Emirates but liked Highbury in the old days, the pies were awful but the teas were ok.

Gone all French on us Annie? Next thing we know, youâll be blowing kisses at Sarkozy!
Nice to see your posting Annie, though I am not too sure about you favouring the Gunners lol, I thought you were a Shamrock Rovers stalwart, mind you Rugby is your first love methinks.
I shall be watching Manchester City hosting my favourites this evening and just hope and pray that this first leg match will not be spoilt by controversy and that football will be shown in itâs better form no matter what the result.
Oh yes I shall watch as well, my Dad will be bouncing about upalofto as Man city lick Manu, cant understand Scholes coming back and didnt realise that Giggs was a dirty player and also I am fed up with sulky Rooney. NO I shall not be blowing kisses to Sarkosy, he and the german woman Agela? make my skin creep, the French could do with learning a few manners in my book.
Sorry that sounds a bit grumpy, didnt mean it too.
Say what you like Annie especially about the ones you mention, it sure donât hurt none.
The Reds got the result they came for but could have come unstuck at anytime throughout the second half, only a poor City performance prevented that as far as I saw it.
Liverpool dominated the first half so much I cannot understand why they lost their nerve a little and decided to shore up the defence in the way it looked.
Sorry but I cannot see Carroll being with the club for much longer, I accept he ploughed a lonely furrow tonight but there is something missing there.
Note for future discussion: Consistant refereeing would not be too much to ask would it? I am not a City fan by any stretch butâŠ
Perhaps someone more enlightened than me can explain why Glenn Johnson - who had an otherwise good effective game - can launch into the kind of two footed tackle that would on many occasions have resulted in a broken ankle and yet not even a word in admonishment from the man in black.
Compare this to the one that has seen Mr Kompany banned.
Couldânt agree with you more on all points. Kompanyâs ban should be rescinded immediately, after seeing the Johnson tackle. No wonder Mancini was furious. Why did Liverpool shut up shop? As for Carroll, he doesânt seem to have any energy, or go in him. Send him back to Geordieland at cutprice in the January Sales. Should be interesting in the second leg. Surely City wonât be as bad as that again?
Yet again we saw a game of two halves last night and how Liverpool went in at half time with only one goal to show from such superior play is beyond me but a Mr Joe Hart once again played a blinder as his co defenders wobbled alarmingly in the first 45 minutes but typically the hosts came out ready to do battle in the second half(wonder what Mancini puts in their drinks?) and Liverpool had to defend valiantly but were good enough to cling on to their penalty goal win so itâs still game on with a vengeance when they lock horns again at Anfield later on this month.
I have often had my say about the ineffectual Andy Carroll and remain totally convinced that he will never be a true Liverpool player, the heart and desire are just not there and he definitely looks unfit, maybe a loan period in the championship would be an advantage to him, perhaps he may be able to score goals there?
Consistent refereeing! When did we last get that I wonder? It is blatantly apparent that modern technology is long overdo in Football or else incidents like the Glen Johnson tackle last night and Vincent Kompanyâs against Man Utd will continue to create ill will throughout the game, Incidentally, we havenât heard about any follow up by the authorities regarding the idiot who shone a laser pen into Steven Gerrardâs eyes as he was about to take that penalty. Football stopped being a sport ages ago.
Got to be honest here Bob, I never saw the laser pen being shone but I do agree it is a mindless and idiotic act.
Whoever did it should get the same treatment as the racist chanters ban for life.
I did manage to find a small mention in the papers about it and one in a football forum but a little surprised the MOTD people did not mention it.
This weekends roundup will for the first time include the fortunes, or not for Arsenal, Annies new club of interest and most welcome indeed.
Starting as always in the north of the country we drop into Central Park where on Saturday Cowdenbeath play host to Airdrie United. The Kick-off is at 3:00pm and the Blue Brazil will be looking to repeat the 5-1 thrashing of The Diamonds when they met at the Excelsior Stadium back in August. The very result that took them to the top of the table.Manager Colin Cameron has shrewdly strengthened his striking force with the signing of both handy lads, Derek Lyle and Liam Cusak.
The Diamonds manager Jimmy Boyle however sees this fixture as the re-start of their season and hopes to improve or at least consolidate fourth spot.I see this as a home win but the Brazil might find the diamonds a harder nut to crack.
Slipping down country we arrive at Anfield as the Reds return to League action on Saturday when they entertain Stoke City. The kick-off will be 3:00pm. King Kenny will be looking to maintain their home record this term no doubt bolstered by the win in the Carling Cup semi-final, first-leg win over Man City.
In last seasons same fixture the Reds ran out 2-0 winners although the visitors did win 1-0 by a penalty back at The Britannia Stadium earlier this season. To further complicate the issue Liverpool won 2-1 at Stoke in the Carling Cup. A home win should be the result but it is a vital game for both clubs as there is only a couple of table positions and five points between them.
A good run downhill with a decent tail wind and we arrive at Sincil Bank for Saturdays 3:00pm kick-off, FA Carlsberg Trophy Second Round tie against Carshalton Athletic.
The Imps will be relieved to take a rest from the rigours of the league and concentrate on trying to secure a last 16 spot in the Trophy at the expense of their Ryman League Premier visitors who have not won a game in the last six.
With three league defeats on the bounce, manager Holdsworth will be hoping for a spark to motivate his squad and give the supporters a bit of new year cheer. He is forced to rearrange his team due to cup tied players and his ongoing injury problems, not least that Tony Sinclair and Alan Power should have been rested a while back.
Even with all the problems the Imps should have too much for the Robins to overcome especially as they will be without a couple of key players.
One piece of good news is that reduced admission prices will be in operation for this game.
We continue our travels to the Liberty Stadium for the Sunday Premier League fixture between Swansea City and Arsenal, Kick-off 4:00pm.
This should be good game to watch especially from a neutral point of view.
The Swans have proved beyond all doubt that they are not the âAunt Sallysâ of the Prem to be kicked through the door at the end of term. They consistantly play good football and are especially effective at home where they can boast conceding only four goals thus far.
Arsenal have lost strikers Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho to the African Cup Of Nations Competition but welcome back Mr Van Persie and of course Mr Henry.
A hard one this and might well end up being goalless but Arsene will be wary of the possessional ability of the Swans whilst being mindful of wide players like Nathan Dyer attacking from the flanks.
Collecting our bucket and spades and âŠoh yes the players from E13, the Hammers take a trip to the seaside, Fratton Park to be exact for the Championship game against Portsmouth which kicks-off on Saturday at 3:00pm low tide permitting.
The manager, BFS, should be looking to make ammends for the lamentable displays of late both home and away.
I say should as one does not know for certain who he is working for. We have not got a result away in five outings now which is a seismic shift away from our early form. The last time we met Pomey, back at the Boleyn, the Hammers edged a win out of 4-3. I expect to see a much changed team from the FA cup debacle but just wonder what formation BFS will put out, if he nips off down to the Esplanade for a quick paddle before the game he might try 4-3-3 but then again it probably will be 5-4-1.
Onward.
Well Cowdenbeath keep going, registering a 2-0 home win against Airdrie whilst Liverpool continue to frustrate their supporters with yet another home draw, this time 0-0 against Stoke City, they really are tossing away loads of points at Anfield, so irritating.
Lincoln City managed the same result at home versus Carshalton Athletic which really is a great disappointment for John whilst Annieâs new found favourites Arsenal suffered defeat in Wales, going down 2-3 at Swansea City.
Joy for George as the Hammers triumphed at Pompey with 1-0 victory and now are level on points at the top of the Championship with Southampton.
Yes Bob a weekend of mixed fortunes, my mate over on Merseyside reckoned that the Reds should have beaten Stoke comfortably. From what little was on MOTD it was hard to tell.
I thought the Arsenal game was well worth watching from a neutrals point of view, the Swans play some good stuff at home.
Jimmy should be well pleased that the Blue Brazil are rolling on but John, you must be getting a bit brassed off with the Imps.
As for us, reading the e-mail I got from the club this afternoon I was struggling to believe they were talking about the same match I saw extended âhighlightsâ of.
Anyway, a win as they say, I hear on the grapevine that we have made another bid for the QPR lad, Jamie Mackie. A decent player, worth a punt I think.
Folks will remember Jamie suffering a double leg break at Ewood Park a year ago in the FA Cup.
I seem to remember Mr Warnock and a certain El Hadji Diouf having a few verbals over the incident.
Onward.
Hammer, things can only get better as the song goes, at least it was a draw, we are that desperate at Lincoln to cheer that fact! Neil Sedaka comes to mind when discussing Liverpool. " Oh Carroll, I am just a fool" (Apologies to Carolâs everywhere!) Good on the Swans, Wengerâs face couldânt get any more miserable if he tried, always moaning if things donât go his way. Take the three points Hammer, as Hansen etc. always say, âyou have to win ugly at timesâ
Hey John, things must improve and to be more positive I am minded of the Chumbawumba song âTubthumpinâ, the âI get knocked down but get up againâ song.
Maybe Mr Holdsworth could play that to the lads and feed em some raw meat before the matches.
I like the Sedaka link, very good. Perhaps Arsene should lighten up a bit, he should sample life in the Championship, that would really put a scowl on his boat.
You are of course right, the points are what we need however they are obtained but I cannot help but loathe the way we are playing under BFS.
