Sorry I forgot to thank everybody that posted with their good wishes, hopefully I will be able to post reports when I am near a town and/or have phone coverage.
It is only a two to three week trip if all goes well but I definitely need to get away, apart from weekend visits to Canberra and that week’s trip to Lake Cargelligo I have basically been stuck at home since March last year (haven’t we all?).
Thanks again to all for their good wishes on my travels, I do appreciate it.
You are probably on your way now Bruce but I can still wish you all the best, I hope you and your daughter have a great holiday adventure.

BTW this was in the instructions for my daughters swag:
“Try not to fall on it when drunk after a session around the camp fire. Aim for the ground next to the swag. It may not be as forgiving but your swag will thank you for it in the morning.”

Sounds like fun Bruce. I had a stop in Broken Hill on my Australian road trip from ACT to Uluru and Alice Springs. Don’t miss the Palace Hotel that was in the movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert or the Sturt Park Reserve and Titanic memorial.
Don’t worry I shall be taking my daughter there, I have been to Broken Hill many times before but always find it interesting.
