Thank heaven!

Have you found it yet Colin?

:041: Hope you have.

Good morning Colin matey and welcome.

Welcome from me too, late as usual.

I am still monitoring your welcomes and appreciate them all. Slightly concerned that I am writing frequently and most are somewhat lengthy.

Relax Colin, nothing to be concerned about … you are like a breath of fresh air and I’m sure others here feel the same.
I am enjoying reading your posts!

OMG ! I’ve been called a few things and often late for "me"tea, but a breadth of fresh air, is really “cool”, thanks. Unsure if I’ve mentioned this before, so apologies if I have, but not too long ago I used to produce in a voluntary capacity (after a work, after husband duties, after father duties etc) a magazine and it often became necessary for me top type away and extend articles to avoid that dreaded “white space”.

For example, no article should ever end leaving an inch or so of a column so there was a white space. If it did, you could magically extend the article without adding one extra word.

How? there are several options. You could increase the size of the font slightly, you could enlarge the font title. you could leave a slightly bigger space between title and the author, you could start each new paragraph word with an enlarged first letter, like so:-

Within no time at all…, see it’s easily done. Tricks of the trade I suppose you’d call it.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Late as usual, but welcome to the forum Colin xx

Faílte, Colin.

I love Dorset.

Not to worry Marion. There is an old saying, “it’s better to be late in this world than too soon for the next”.

ps Dorset isn’t so great today, it’s bloomin cold.

Colin matey good afternoon and welcome. I live along the Channel from you and it ain’t any warmer here.

Hi Joe, and thanks. Yes it’s grey and cold and looks like being that way for the next week, but hopefully rain free. We’ve been working in garden since 8.30 and only came in at 3.30. I’ve been doing a bit more to my “garden makeover”, fence panels blue, cream masonry paint and all in all, a satisfactory day. As for tomorrow, that is in the planning stage but I will be out there, if my health is ok.

Colin matey, that’s way, way too much like hard work!!! - go look at my profile piccy of me in my super, duper riser/recliner armchair - a much better occupation for us oldies!!!

Yes I had seen it before Joe and to be honest, knowing you have those sort of health issues, wondered after if my post might appear heartless.

I am aching a bit now and will have a good old soak at tea time and straight into jamas, ha ha.

I use WD40 for external lubrication, and Brandy for internal (for medicinal purposes you understand) ;-)
