Its my birthday on 30th (this is actually true), so maybe I’ll treat myself. Think we used to have a book review section/thread round here somewhere, so I might even get to write one up or append yours.

It’s also available as an audio book, I think they do a free 30-day trial too: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/Civilized-to-Death-Audiobook/1508297657

I’ll buy it. Have been reading a load of dross on my kindle unlimited, so it’s time I tried something a bit more interlekchoool.

Azz, lt’s a shame you couldn’t do the knife and fork screeching test on the stoneware plates before you bought them?
I think you should be ok though, as it seems ceramic plates are the worst…

I haven’t actually used them yet Art, but will do a quick test when I do

To be fair I don’t imagine many people drag and scrape a fork across a plate like that too much … they’re too busy scoffing what’s on it.

Of course, wooden chopsticks might be the answer.

Ooh nice but can’t afford that. However, we managed to get a 12 pieces set for £16 for four people at B&M a while back. Check this out.
