Take the theory test

Ha! That’s true. Half the cars on the M25 would be parked in the hard shoulder.

18/20 - I failed the high gear on icy roads - thought this was low gear as in 1st or 2nd. The other wrong answer was the 2 second rule - I didn’t think a close and safe distance would be right, as in I wouldn’t want to drive closely. Surprised about icy roads but then if we have them I’d prefer to walk to the shops! What do others do - 4th gear?!

And I salute you too sir.

And it’s already labelled Britain’s Biggest Carpark.

I know roads in the Cotswolds, 1:1 hill, single track, bendy, get completely iced over this time of year. Going down in a high gear is not a good idea.

I was a white van man and the rules are different for us…

And BMW drivers.

The car in front is travelling at the speed limit. Do you…

A. Drive one inch behind flashing your lights and continually sounding the horn?

B. Engage with the vehicle in front and run it off the road?

C. Overtake on the next bend, then cut the driver up for being a sissy?

Our roads were rather snowbound this morning but we drove to the supermarket with no problems. 3rd or 4th gear wherever possible, pull away from a junction or roundabout in 2nd gear.

Despite the snow, Marge managed to drive the car up our drive into the garage this afternoon, and it must be almost 1 in 4.

She’s a good driver is Marge, though I say so myself.
