Summertime Fun!

:open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:!!!

SPF30?? Ours is SPF50+, it might even be the law…

Funny thing is that, although I insisted on my kids wearing sunscreen and they now do their kids, I have never actually put any on in my entire life, however I never go out without a hat.

All schools have a strict, “No Hat, No Play” policy

I suppose generally speaking attitudes change over the course of time. Back here in The UK if you returned from a weeks holiday in Herne Bay with a lobster red face and the skin hanging off it in shreds it was a sign that you’d had a good holiday!:open_mouth:

I can vaguely remember my dad being complemented on his (peeling) skin damaged condition way back in the late sixties. I’m sure everybody didn’t think like that but many did!

A hat is essential in these heatwaves although, a good “Woolly Hat” can make 30° feel like 40°!

Yep, I lived by the seaside in Britain and my back/shoulders peeling was a regular occurrence every summer as was the occasional shade of lobster though generally I used to tan pretty well without getting burned even though peeling was fairly regular.

A timely reminder Bruce!

The bugs and mosquitoes really seem to like me, it’s said that they favour people with certain blood groups.
Just retrieved my spray fron the outdoors cupboard :+1:

An avid sun worshipper all my life, due to health reasons I’ve now been advised to stay in the shade…I’ve never been so white !

So it’s factor 50 and fake tan for me now

No summer plans, I just take each day as it comes but it will involve walks, picnics and plenty of time out in the fresh air

Wishing everybody a great summer :sunglasses:

Corks flapping about in your face are worse than the flies. Fly nets cost a few dollars I keep a couple in my car.

To be honest I rarely use them except when flies are in plague proportions and then usually when I am just sitting down, they are a bugger if you are trying to eat. When walking I usually use a bit of foliage as a swish.

No corks today thank you!
Just staying hydrated with plenty of sunscreen

Following my own advice, waiting for the live music to start, it’s too blinking hot!

That’s a big camera you’ve got there.

Just an old classic d00d

I think the picture gives the impression that it’s larger than it really is.
