Hi Bruce, I tried growing ginger with no success I think my house is too cold.

It can be a bit of a weed, keeps springing up down the side of my house under the power meter. personally I have never planted it, it was growing when I bought this house over 40 years ago. I have never had to buy ginger.

Chilli plants on the other hand rarely survive the winter

I could write a book about cooking curries. :wink:. I worked with loads of Asians and they gave me food, recipes and I went to their homes to eat and the food is nothing like you get in restaurants …. That is all altered to suit the British palate.

I also had a very good West Indian friend and she cooked fabulous goat curries, black eyed beans and made fantastic colourful salads.

All my ancient handwritten recipes are splattered with splodges of curry. :rofl:
