Never knew domesticated cats slept outside during the winter?
No not feral, but I have one cat friend Buttons, not my cat, that is very independent and spends most of his time out and about and I provide a shelter for him and and others that might want it.

That looks a good shelter ! I currently have a stray who seems to have lost his home, but he has worked out how to use the cat flap so I leave food for him & an old cat bed in my study. The RSPCA will take him in, when they have sufficient petrol to come and trap him. They will try to find him a new home if he isn’t chipped, but they know he wont get cold or hungry whilst he is at my house!

I tend not to use the RSPCA as they put down healthy animals. I support a small charity which is wholly staffed by volunteers and never put a healthy animal down.

Nah just a big softie when it comes to animals.

Only two, you couldn’t have been very hungry!
My preference is for apple doughnuts, not sure if they are sold in Tesco though.
I could easily make three or four of those ‘disappear’!

Mike, the guy who works for the RSPCA set up his own kennel and keeps any kittens from his RSPCA work till he finds them homes. He also will take any cat that he gets attached to and puts them in his own kennels to see if he can get them a new home. My Mr Grey lived with him for 6 days when his leg was damaged & , as I said I would keep him, he brought him back to me & he regularly phones to see how he is progressing. My other two cats now let him sit in the lounge with us… so i think he is a permanent resident now!
