Do you have all those small things to help you maintain yourself and your household?
You know the things like a sewing kit for minor repairs. A small toolbox for maintenance, screwdriver, spanner, etc. Torch, spare batteries, first aid kit.
Plus some what I consider a necessity, Vacuum Cleaner, Washing Machine.
What would you add to the list?
Not being a cook when I was on my own, a microwave. The best thing ever invited IMO ![]()
I think I have everything anyone would need to live alone.
Absolutely agree with @Psmith about the microwave but I add my air fryer to that list.
For many years I have had a sewing machine which is handy for repairing my Gazebo for example or making straps for things I only have two colour cottons black or white they solve all problems. I don’t know what they cost these days but this one was under $100. Anything that requires a sewing kit for hand sewing is usually cheap enough to throw away and replace.
Well, I’m not big on gadgets in the kitchen but these two are virtually indespensible…
The nutribullet is great for smoothies!
Oh , and as a bloke living the single life I also have a toilet seat that I can leave up at my own discretion! ![]()
Hmmm…I always put the seat and the lid down. ![]()
Ah yes!
Don’t you have venomous spider issues in the lav down under Bret?
One careless visit to the dunny in the middle of the night could be your very last! ![]()

An airfryer
I have a deep fryer but without doubt an Air fryer would be much better.
No need to buy oil. No need to dispose of oil. No oil taste with chips.
So much easier to clean.
“Fry” so much more variety.
A workmate of mine owned a local Chinese takeaway business. He hated air fryers, I have one but as far as cooking is concerned they are pretty much on a par with microwaves, nothing wrong with that I suppose…
