Simple bird nesting idea

Get an clay plant pot " Have a good look at it"
and you’ll see the bottom should have a hole in it" (that was for water drainage)
This will be we’re the birds enter your new nesting pot, ensure you have this hole the correct size for verious size birds to enter through it, (need be to enlarge it ? use a file)

Now look at the larger end of the Pot “we’re” you would have used to fill the pot with compost, But now your going to fill this larger filling area with a piece of plywood (use the pot as the guide cut the wood, Draw around the large filling area to enable you to cut the wood to size)
This circle you have cut out should fit just inside the bottom area so you can now drill four holes to enble you to use screws to hold the wood in place, using the dril bit again drill a hole in the centre of the last piece of round wood large enough so you can screw this rounnd piece of wood to we’re you want the bird nesting pot to hang (ie a tree/a wall etc) and when this is done screw the 4x screws into the edge of the wood via the outer side of the clay pot and “Now” you have your nesting pot mounted,
Last thing to do is to screw a hole under the entrace hole in the front of the nesting pot so the birds can land on it pre taking food to the chicks, (I use a dowel and wood glue to hold it in place through this last hole ive drilled)
Clay pots stay cool in the sun & dry in the rain and last a long time, you can paint them if you like and the birds love them,
