Seeing the International Space Station

For anybody struggling to see it…

Tonight…7.26pm…visible for 4 minutes…maximum height 69 degrees…coming from due west and heading ESE…So…look towards the west (where the sun goes down). To work out the elevation… the horizon is 0 degrees and directly overhead is 90 degrees. Tonight’s is 69 degrees so quite high up, will be nearly overhead. It will move in the direction of east south east.

It’s a single unblinking white light, there are no other lights, flashing, coloured or otherwise. It’s silent, it moves quite quickly. You also need clear skies, you won’t see anything if it’s cloudy!

You do realise that you have to put down your glass of red wine and go outside Morty, don’t you…:-D:-D:-D

:023:

It also appears to zig-zag very slightly. Still don’t know why that is.

Right … I’m taking all these tips and advice onboard … thanks everyone.

I just hope it’s not cloudy tonight.

That the seven pints of John Smiths

Ah, that also explains why I could see four of them.

8:09pm tonight is anyone has clear skies

I think it’s rain all day and all night here.

:frowning:

Still raining here :frowning: … but I can hope for a miracle!

I am going to have a word and see if they will do a low pass under this cloud

Please do Colin!

Shhh… I do believe the rain has stopped for the moment - still a thick blanket of cloud up there though

I do believe I can spot little bits of blue sky coming between the clouds now.
I’ll go check again . . . .

I will have no chance here, thick cloud all over :frowning:

The cloud is getting thinner here and I do believe the sun is trying hard to push through … don’t give up hope Mups

7.26pm is almost at the end of Strictly, let’s hope I don’t get too engrossed in it and forget

Two things…

It’s totally clear up here

And no can do on the low pass :stuck_out_tongue:

Pfffffffft, rubbish :075:

He’s useless. No influence at all.

:frowning: There’s a great big duvet covering the sky again.

Okay, I meant pesky cloud but I wanted to sex it up.
