Received a phone call from my Medical Centre

For a Coronary Angiogram my heart needs to be slowed down to about 62 beats per minute.
I have been given pills for that and I will be monitored for 30 minutes to check for any negative reactions.

My heartbeat is down to 61.
One person before me then my turn. I might be out of here within the hour

I’ve experienced that with CT scans involving an Iodine contrast dye being injected. Designed to make things show up in the body. It can give an, ‘I have wet myself’ feeling for a few seconds. :flushed:

Yes, same thing happened to me on the several occasions that I had an Angiogram.
Was it the same as mine Bretrick? I had a catheter inserted into an artery in my groin and it was guided up into my heart where a fluid was occasionally pumped to show all the arteries on a tv screen. I watched the procedure. I also watched them position a stent into an affected artery.
Over the years I’ve had eight or nine stents placed in various arteries.
Cardiologists ask me for advice now…

Good luck with your medical tests. I hope you get the care you need. Keep us posted.
