You will find them poking their noses in everywhere and they tend to steal things which are shiny and hide them under beds, and yes Coco gets us up at 4am, if you don’t get up she will scream the House down.
Hello Susiejaeger, 4am for you goodness me!
They sent me pics of them once on email they’re really beautiful. They take them into the garden with leads as you were saying.
I usually wake up about 6am anyway but I shall keep the bedroom shut, even the children weren’t allowed into the bedroom unless it was an emergency and they had to knock on the door…maybe they do that too
I think they’re cats probably sleep in their room too as one of them gives son’s fiance a nudge in the morning but of course they won’t be there that one night after their marriage but I’m sure we’ll hear them calling for their breakfast. I’ll be up early anyway because we have to get the train back home from Scotland. It’s not till October but looking forward to wedding and puddycats.
I’m looking after my next door neighbour’s cat next week for 4 days, just go in and feed him 3 times a day, I probably won’t even see him, because he is a really shy cat who runs away from everyone.
My neighbour calls upon me sometimes when they go away. There are 3 cats but usually only see 2 in there, they have a cat flap to come and go. She leaves out the cat food and to always change their water, years ago we all gave cats milk but I’m sure I heard that milk isn’t so good for them.
One of them always sits high on top of the big fridge freezer looking down at me with eyes open wide, trying to work me out I think - I don’t blame it!
Hi, I do often look after neighbours cats around here, they always seem to ask me to look after them, one neighbour a couple of years ago, I looked after her cat for 2 weeks and it was the most spiteful cat ever, she blocked my way into the kitchen and attacked me and the poor Postman was terrified of her, the Cat had him every day when he put the mail in the box.
I cannot understand people, if they have a dog or cat who is spiteful, why don’t they put a metal mesh over the letterbox indoors, so that they don’t bit or scratch anyone on the outside?
Crikey, you could have got an infection with the cat scratch. It is unreasonable that the the cat owner doesn’t protect people regarding the mail box and also wonder if it would be easier for you to explain in your way, that it’s not an easy task to feed her cat and would therefore like to refrain but do appreciate that you have been of some help. You sound a very kind neighbour in time of need.
Ah yes susiejaeger noticed it was a few years ago - it lived to a good age though. I reckon every other house here seems to have 2 or 3 cats but all seem to be road savvy and there’s a few corners on this road.
One of the cats know when it’s owner is coming round the corner in the car, as it flies out of the garden next door and sits outside its gate while its owner parks up.
Toffee, Coco follows me from room to room, even sits on your lap when going to the loo, she could be asleep in the armchair, but if I get up, she is awake and following.
