I only watched half of this. He spent a lot of time in this selling his books and programs. He then complicated the issue instead of simplifying as he did in the previous video. In the previous video, he spoke with confident pronouncements.

He does, indeed, bang on a bit. An expert may notice subtle differences between similar-sounding songs - a “sus” chord here, a “dim” chord there, a “I” chord vs a “vi” chord - but most listeners won’t. In the end, it’s a matter of opinion and taste …
