Paint Dot Net

I forget who recommended this program but a very good recommendation it is.

Now I have a new laptop I decided to abandon my old love Paintshop Pro V7 and only load this program - they are both very similar.

Downloading it was a nightmare. I constantly seemed to be close to downloading some junk program, just getting the actual file itself was made more difficult by its rather strange name and the fact that it is a zip file.

paint.net.5.1.8.install.anycpu.web.zip

Just be warned that MOST of the download signs are not the file you want.

I downloaded 13 free or open source programs yesterday this was the only one that gave me this problem. The whole web site seemed designed to mislead you for Adsense revenue.

It’s a great program but just be careful where you click.

Gonna stick with Paintshop Pro 5 Bruce…We seem to be compatible…

I have a few Paint and Graphics programs for occasional use. Even though Paint. NET is good, I probably don’t need another. I see the Microsoft Store supplies it for a fee but not one that breaks the bank at £12.49. Maybe that’s worth considering since it is a reliable source and it comes with a few advantages.

From the Microsoft Store:
If you buy Paint. NET in the Windows Store, you’ll be supporting its development directly (normally we ask for a donation). You will get the convenience of fast, easy installation onto all of your Windows devices along with fully automatic, behind-the-scenes updates with all the newest features, improvements, and fixes.

If you like freeware, as I do, the proper place to go is Paint.NET - Download

EDIT my link is https://www.get>paint.net/download.html without the > between get and paint
