On the Sugar theme, The Rubettes had a kinda one hit wonder with Sugar Baby Love (1974). With Paul Da Vinci’s falsetto voice (Paul Leonard Prewer), the song became an almost instant No1 and stayed there for a full four weeks. If my memory is correct, this was their only No1.
