One country love to go to

I have alway wanted to visit Australia and Sue to New Zealand, we both have relatives in respective countries, and myself to meet up with internet people I follow.
Distance - age and cost are the big barriers to overcome first which prevent us from going

Being a bird and fish fanatic I would also love Australia .

Of course Australia being the other side of the world, I suppose one would have to learn how to walk on ones hands, as they are upside down to us. Logic at its best

I’ve been to Australia, three times, and really liked the place, the people, the food and the sights. It is worth the journey. But the whole endeavour will be expensive, especially as you need to spend at least 3-4 weeks there to make it worthwhile and to see more than one place.
Assuming the money constraints mean travelling at the back of the plane (who can afford anything up front) then I’d recommend breaking the journey with a short stop-over. Somewhere like Hong Kong or Singapore. If you’ve going to the other side of the globe then grab some experiences on the way there and back.

I have been to both countries, and enjoyed stopovers in Singapore. Oz in 2005 to stay with a friend in Caloundra, nr Brisbane (she went out around 1967), and then some time in Sydney. And NZ on a coach tour in 2012. Thoroughly enjoyed both holidays, but fell in love with Singapore.

Did you read the heading ??? One country LOVE TO"“” GO “”“” TO.
Not countries BEEN To

Yes, but did you read the opening post - where two countries are mentioned? Oh, you wrote the opening post where two countries are identified.
BTW - you will have fun getting to either country without a stop over somewhere, even if its just for a few hours.

I would like to visit the Netherlands, especially Amsterdam. Don’t know why I have never done it - will put it on my bucket list.

I have visited family in Australia several times, in fact I am going again at the end of the year - it is a lovely place and I have found the people there to be very friendly.

I don’t think you have read the opening post properly… maybe time for you to visit an optician. It started witih always wanted to !!!

Thanks but I am quite sure I read the opening post fully and correctly. You are right, of course, you specified one country only. Oz. Ta.
What I did was to observe that in getting to Oz you will need a stop over. I think there is now a direct flight from London to Perth - but that is something like 26 hours (in the back of the plane). No thanks. And routes most have stop overs, in Middle East or Asia. I merely suggested that if you are en route anyway, why not take advantage. One country plus a stop over.
Kind of like you noting that in your household there is enthusiasm for going to NZ. Which inferred that once you’d got to Oz, you’d then pop down to New Zealand. Seeing as how you were in the neighbourhood, as it were. One country plus a pop down.
Remind me why you are making a fuss?
