Sadly an all too familiar sight around here these days.

I do like trees. But maybe this ancient tree was not the best place for it.

That’s an excuse any property developer would use.It might have been there before the road.

Do you how old the tree was before it was chopped down ?

I`m stumped ( not a bad pun for me ) as to why they did not take the lot out,including the roots.

It would have been a lot more work to dig out the roots.

Laziness at it`s best.

Do YOU want to pay for digging it out?

I quite like it. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it a feature but at least it’s better than a plain grass verge.
