Hello @nanolu , a warm welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your time here….
Welcome @nanolu, I can see we are going to have to get more familiar with where US States actually are. I have only just discovered the location of New Jersey.
I keep mine on a coat hanger in my wardrobe. My New Jersey I mean.
Hello Nanolu and welcome to the forum, I hope you’ll like it here and hang around for a while, where you will be wowed with scintillating conversation and discussion…I can’t speak for the rest of the retrobates on here…
Found it, now we all know where it is.
Sort of landlocked in the middle of the US.
A bit too far away from the sea for my liking…
That is why it is called missery ,takes to long to go to the seaside for the day
landlocked yes but with many beautiful rivers and streams…the Missouri and the Mississippi are the two large ones. I am having a little difficulty finding my way back to you but shall persevere Very hot and humid here in the mid-west. The big news in the US is still the awful flood in Texas which has killed so many.Mostly children…,tried to upload a picture of a Boston Terrier but note says new users are not permitted to upload pictures…later perhaps…
the dog is beautiful…I have two rescue dogs . one is a very old Boston just like me and the other is a very sweet mutt…I am a sucker for dogs
I too love the oceans…I was in the Navy Nurse Corps and my duty station was in San Diego California, which is located on the Pacific Ocean…just a gorgeous place at that time…I lived on the beach along with 2 other nurses…wonderful time…However…home is home and Missouri is a beautiful state…We all have a little ocean in us right?
Nothing wrong with landlocked, personally I avoid the beaches, dislike sand intensely, spend most of my time exploring the inland. Though all of our states do have a coastline.
Yes Bruce you seem to love exploring inland and I have seen most, if not all, of your videos in the hunt for Kangaroos. We know how you love to watch them leap along, but age prevents you from copying them.
:
You don’t need to hunt for roos they are everywhere.
thank you Mags…like the picture of the flower…reminds me of a petunia but do not think it is…
There is nothing like the sound of waves breaking on the shoreline, the smell of salt in the air, the sheer size and beauty of the restless oceans that stretch to infinity, or the magic of seagulls and puffins circling a steep cliff…I always feel good when close to the sea…There is something magical in the air, and as a two year old boy with hooping cough my parents took me for a week in Bridlington in the mid winter after the doctors recommendation…
Well…I’m sill here!
beautiful description…
Thanks Nanolu, appreciate your nice comment…
I heard a very nice state but for me way to cold as have blinding hate for ice , snow temps under 60 degrees .
During your Winters do you head out much ?
Sending love Nanalu
