Wow, no idea where that vehicle came from.
This morning whilst pulling out of my driveway, after looking both ways, I very narrowly missed driving into the side of a large SUV.
Was not there when I looked left but I stopped less than a foot from the vehicle which just went on it’s merry way at a speed well above a suburban road speed limit.
Would have been a great way to start the morning, exchanging insurance details, having to have my vehicle repaired…
These things happen, near misses, as long as one party is on the ball, that’s all that matters.
Looks like I was not on the ball but managed to stop before hitting him.
That’s so refreshing Bret, to hear someone admit they were part of a problem.
See, some folks rave on about how good a driver they are but, they are unaware of the times they are “Not on the ball” and others have to take avoiding action, as has been said, just as long as one driver is on the ball at any given time, all is good.
My car detects if cars, cyclists or pedestrians are passing and will warn me through the rear sensors and camera, if I ignore it, it will automatically brake the car, a feature worth having, ( rear cross traffic alert) , it also does it at the front too…
Blimey Primus, how slowly do you drive
Well it is when I’m backing out of a space, but it does have forward collision warning
