My Own Personal Choice of Music

Mel was a really funny man.

Totally agree with you Smithy we lost a good one there.

Bleeding freezing outside just got in from walking the dog, now settling down to a mug of sweet tea topped up with dark rum to warm my bones up.

Same daily routine as me.Not the rum though, you must be an old matelot

No walking this morning its absolutely chucking it down out there, she’ll have to make do with the backyard.

 In all my working life I never once tried the sea.Nearest I got was cleaning out the ships in Smith Dock at South Bank after they had their first launch.

My grandparents taught me well but their snifter was brandy don’t know how I got stuck with dark rum.

A master of music.

Everybody seems to have a favourite version of Little Drummer Boy, this is mine although they all are good in their own ways.

My OH would leave me for David Essex.
I don’t know what she sees in him

I think you are very lucky my friend to actually see a way out.
When I married our lass in the 70’s I remember walking into her little box bedroom in Bermondsey and the walls were covered with Essex and Cassidy and a few posters of Deep Purple. I said to her you can get rid of the David’s because there will be only one David I know in this room from now on. But I let her keep the Deep Purple posters up.:lol:
I showed her a picture of Essex a few years ago and said aren’t you glad you chose the right David.:lol:
Now if it had been Elvis that might have been a different matter.

What a wonderful video of Dire Straits’ Ticket To Heaven, Longfellow! Unawares, I was playing the ‘Sun In My Eyes’ track first then didn’t close it. It makes a great backing for the Dire Straits tune, playing at the same time as it were.

I know you’re not too good at the moment mate but you keep posting these bud. They’ll help you take your mind off things hopefully

This is a thanks to every one that has been in contact with me this week and keeping me smiling through the pain.
Music seems my only way out at present to take my mind off the pain and of course your messages.

Thank you, I will get around to posting you back promise.
In the meantime enjoy my selections.

Love a bit of Van Morrison, Longfellow. Probably my favourite singer-songwriter.

Hope you’re on the mend. Sent you a PM which I expect you’ll catch up with when you empty your pigeonhole

Oh my god only 42.000 to go.
