To cut a long story short I stumbled upon their website via Instagram. They wanted pictures of people who back in the day used those photo kiosks for fun. I’m sure everyone on this forum remembers using them at some point!
So I submitted one of mine from back in the dark ages
I’m seriously looking forward to the launch, they have a really positive approach and it appears are keen to be a kind of ‘living’ museum and ongoing project in the community, engaging with young people of today.
So, after exchanging a few messages I signed on the dotted line and joined!
Growing up in Central London and being rather familiar with Camden this resonates big time!
Oh, you don’t have to be a youth to join… just as well!
Good for you @Chilliboot , Ive always liked Museums, they are full of History of how life was ,you look a mean man in the photo, was you a Bovver Boy ?
I will certainly be a visitor when I next get to London.
Yep, museums are terrific aren’t they Eliza, it’s seems that there are always more to discover if you look!
Nah… wasn’t really a bovver boy, just a bit of a posing West End punk rocker😉
Yes, I remember when the photos eventually dropped into the little dispenser outside of the photobooth. They’d be soaking wet with some kind of chemical. You’d have to wave them around in the air to dry them otherwise they’d smudge, all good fun!
