Moaning old people?

Simplicity is the way forward.

There’s just moaning and there’s actually doing something about it,big difference.

if no-one moaned why would anything be changed?

That’s my theory too and TBH I quite enjoy a frikkin good moan when the blanket adhesive hits the fan. At my advanced years, a good howl in the right direction is about all I can manage exertion wise now

Me, I don’t think moaning changes anything, it’s just depressing background noise about cliches and everyone quite rightly just ignores you

It’s no good moaning and being a downer about things I can’t change or can’t be bothered to try to change

On the other hand, if think I can change them, get on and try, don’t moan

Of course we should speak out if we think something is wrong and try to get it put right.

But I think apathy is a big part of being a moaner

It’s like that old AA prayer…….

“grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”

Although I love driving and would probably have been one of those drivers contributing to those traffic jams you speak of EZ, it doesn’t take Einstein to figure out that we can’t go on flooding the roads with cars, lorries and delivery drivers much longer, or else nobody will be able to go anywhere due to one massive gridlock…
The problem seems to have developed over the seventy years that I’ve been an observer and a contributor. The condition of the roads is getting worse, and the speed limits are being reduced in the name of cleaner air. Car manufacturers are spewing out vehicles that are bigger, faster and more complex than the last lot, until one day you will be just a passenger in your own car! :astonished: So what can we do? Make it so expensive to own and drive a car that people are priced off the roads seems to be the only option as far as I can see…

The roads are getting so crowded it’s quite hard to go fast anyway .
It takes longer to get anywhere it’s seems .

The roads are quiet for early risers, it’s the loafers and the faffers that cause congestion

In my experience moaners enjoy moaning and don’t want anything put right otherwise they wouldn’t have anything to moan about.

Moaning is a good way to relieve stress Mr Smith, and heaven knows, there is always plenty to moan about.
However…You get to a point where you realise that all the worlds (and national) problems are not your concern and your only concerns are those closer to home…Family, friends and neighbours…And people you meet on the forum…

plus Mr Fox when the price of petrol goes up very few wil just silently think…‘oh dear’

If you think old people moan go to any young peoples site .
Young parents especially moan about EVERYTHING they are so woke and precious I wonder how they get through the day :grinning:

I only know old peoples sites.

And sites about photography where people are mostly happy bunnies with the odd frustration.

And locally, people (all ages) complaining about weeds in the pavement. And their cat’s gone missing again.

It seems the only way to reduce traffic on our roads is to reduce the population. That appears to be happening albeit slowly with Gods help plus the onset of Covid and also a variety of other terminal diseases.

i feel if someone gets banned from driving then when the ban is up they should have to resit the driving test…

As a rule we don’t moan about anything. But…
We have the ladies arriving at our house roughly once every six weeks for the hairdresser. Pleasant comfortable chat and lovely haircuts. Been doing it for a few years not. Then my sister invited the gang. My sister. It is never quite right to her liking. I wish…

I suppose if you’ve aches and pains discomfort and disappointment is to be expected at times.

Incessant moaning I can’t tolerate that, especially if it’s about the younger generations that’s when I switch off

Yup, everyone’s entitled to a little moan

But when it becomes a lifestyle, or involves constantly putting down one group of people it begins to sound like prejudice and self-serving spite with a deluded sense of superiority!

I think they’re “youngist”

And it’s youngism …….
