in The photo above there is a smudge mark at about 11 0’clock
below mark removed
so how did I do it?
the obvious answer is tgo edit it out, but thatdoesn’t help with the next photo taken.
No the answer is to remove it from the sensor.
This could mean sewnding he camera away and waiting weeks to get it back, or DIY.
I have done this many many times and saved a fortune by not sending the camera away.
So how do I do it?
First of all one needs a camera LOUPE as below
this has internal lighting to help finding any diurt on the sensor
so it isplaced over the camera as one would with a lens but just resting on the opening
now it is easy to see the exact area on the sensor the bit of dirt *smudge" is
the next bit of kit needed is called an Artic butterfly
being battery powered the brush spins at high speed to build up statric electricity
how to use
switch on and let it spin for a couple of second then turn it off
carefully brush over the sensor and any loose dirt goes onto the brush .
then check with Loupe
