Local elections 2026 - who did you vote for?

Hope you all went out and voted :023:

  • I voted Plaid Cymru! Well done to everyone in Wales who voted for them too!
(They came FIRST in Wales :038: )

  • And well done to everyone in Scotland who voted SNP!
(Looks like they will come FIRST in Scotland :038:)

  • And everyone in England who voted Greens!
(Looks like they will do very well in England :038:)

I hope none of you voted for the vile disgusting Farage and his Deform party!

How about some British news for a change…
Congratulations to Nige and the Reform Party, this is just the begining.

Merged your thread into this one OGF :023:

Also you referring to him as ‘king nigel’ made me think of this (no offence, lol!)

Yes we both voted :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Talking of local elections…

Today is the by election for Farrer, a once safe NSW coalition seat previously held by the leader of the Liberal Party who resigned after being ousted from the leadership.

Since then things for the coalition have gone from bad to worse with the competition appearing to be between an Independent and the appalling One Nation. It could end up being One Nation’s first lower house seat.

Labor doesn’t have a candidate and the coalition are preferencing One Nation because they think it will be easier to win the seat back from them rather than the Independent. Independents are notoriously hard to remove once they are elected.

The ABC is predicting that One Nation has won the Farrer by election and support for the coalition (the Conservatives) has collapsed once again.

The coalition is in big trouble not only losing a safe seat but they have only received 20% between them of the first preference votes. Their preferences will tend to flow to the One Nation candidate pushing him over the 50%+1 vote needed to win.

No local elections here s

Starmer and Miliband have damaged labour the same as what Titanic did to make cruising attractive.

No local election in my area - but if there had been there is no way I would vote Green, don’t just read their manifesto - listen to what those leading the party are saying. Also no way would I vote for Labour - we have a Labour MP and a Labour Regional Mayor - both are useless and only interested in photo opportunities. When election candidates visit I question them and then vote for the one I think will do the least damage

Hi

No voting here.

OGF is right about Starmer and Miliband, I couldn’t vote Labour with Starmer in charge, nor Miliband,

Starmer is delusional, he thinks he is the only person who can run the UK ,doesn’t see that he is the main reason Labour got hammered
