2 slices of “luxury” ham, 1 slice of cheese, between 2 slices of bread, toasted.
$14
i’ve just had breccies, but feeling hungry again
Same here, best to get out and keep temptation in the cupboard
My guess is its the luxury ham that did it.
It’ll be the ‘toasted’ and the ‘eat in’
Ingredients might cost $2 - $2.50
Include wages, electricity, rent, profit.
It’s hard to find a decent local cafe in my neck of the woods.

Does “Luxury” Ham come from a posh Pig?
It makes a reassuringly expensive sandwich.
14 dollars or £7.50 seems pricey for a sandwich - even if the ham is first rate. But a quick check on UK sandwich prices shows a Pret a Manger ham & cheese baguette comes in at £6.25 so not much cheaper. And if you go to the chain Joe & the Juice their sandwiches all seem to be £9.40 so more expensive. Life is simply insanely expensive now. !2 years ago when I still lived and worked in London the Pret normal sized latte was £2.10. It is now £4.05. That is a 93% hike in 12 years - or something like 6% each year (cumulative). Inflation was not been 6% for all those years so someone is extracting more from our pockets than they should - and extracting the urine.
Those prices are quite reasonable.
