Many a true word spoken in jest, GVM
Joking !

No doubt Admin has some sort of stats (and I could be wrong) but it seems to me that the number of posts has dropped quite dramatically over recent weeks - so any ‘new blood’ is extra-welcome.

G’day from Australia (mate) !

G’day to you Pumicestone. I bet it’s a little warmer there than it is here
My uncle lived there for about 60 years but I never made it over. Feels mighty tempting today. What part are you in?

Pumicestone Passage Marine Park, Queensland.
( About an hour north of Brisbane.)

Temperature forecast for today (Monday) is 23 - 30 degrees celsius.
10 -15 kph sea breezes. No rain expected.

Is that where you are or your full name?

Welcome gvm …hope you enjoy it here!

Hi mARC hows it going, you’ll enjoy it on here better than the other one you were with… so get stuck in

That might give you a clue, Longdogs

BTW, do you have Dachshunds ?

I think it is just the way he walks.

Hello and welcome from me too.

Hello Marc, welcome to our forum, we are a friendly bunch on here.
Looking forward to your chats.

Thanks again to you all for your welcome

Pummy, I didn’t realise you were in Queensland. Someone I know has not long moved there from . . . :102: . . . somewhere else in Oz.
His wife is ill and they have moved to Kawungan. Do you know of that place?

 Good to see you’ve taken the plunge and settling in.
You’ll like it here.

G’day Mups !

Kawungan is about 3 hours drive north of me
BUT - it is only 20 miles east of Maryborough - where I was born.
It is a ‘suburb’ really of Hervey Bay which fronts Fraser Island - the world’s largest sand island.

Have never been to Kawungan. In fact, I’m fairly sure it did not exist when I left that area as a 10 year old.
I think it is a “new” development - like, sometime in the last 60 years
