Just found this site, too

Hi Jimbo matey, Chiswick is the ‘posh’ part of London, I came from t’other end - down Wapping way.

Hi Joe. I never regarded myself as posh. No silver spoon in my gob. I was brung up normally, like. Know what I mean?

Yes matey I DO know what you mean, was merely pointing out that Chiswick is ‘upmarket’ area of London compared to my roots in Wapping. Nice to make your acquaintance Jimbo matey.

Just read your profile Joey. Sorry to read about your hips and knees. But, you don’t sound like an old decrepit to me.

Jimbo matey, you should see and hear me first thing in the morning. My knees click like castanets, and getting out of bed takes far longer than it should. At least getting up out of an armchair is much easier since I invested in an electric riser/recliner chair.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties, Joe. Must be a pain in the neck as well as your knees. I have to admit I’ve been pretty lucky healthwise, so far. Touch wood. I do have some strees and feel down from time to time, mainly due to our uncertain future. My wife and I had planned to return to the U.K. four years ago, but the economic crisis hit. So, we decided to stay put here in Japan until things cleared up. But, as you know, they haven’t. But, at least I have a part-time job and we live comfortably here in Kyoto. Shouldn’t complain. Well, that’s it for now Joe. Take care mate. Jimbo.

Jimbo matey, yes stay put in Kyoto, its probably a sight warmer there than here. Last week temperatures here were up to around 21oC, today they’re barely half that and set to plummet later today and tomorrow accompanied with sleet and snow!!!:twisted::twisted:

As a matter of interest, Joe, Japan has four seasons. Around the same time as in England. We are now on the verge of Springtime. But, this winter has been longer and colder than usual. In fact today was very wet and windy. Hopefully by next week the Cherry blossoms will be in bloom. Springtime here is really beautiful.

Aahhhh but Jimbo matey, you can relax and bathe in the volcanic springs and get warm that way.
