Is It Too Late To Start Shaving My

face?

I know I know , I’m a female and it’s not because I’m getting whiskers but men seem to keep a far nicer complexion after years of shaving.
Something to do with the abrasion of the blade acting like a facial.
Liz Taylor did it.
So guys … is your face lovely and smooth?
Today …I want you to pay close attention to the woman who gets
closest to you.

Do you think you have nicer, smoother skin than her?

PMSL.Make sure You get Yourself some really nice aftershave Morty

Nah, my wife looks quite nice with a goatee…

But I do think men age better … they look distinguished and have such lovely smooth blemish free skin, okay, there might be a bit of stubble here and there but I could live with that.

Does she dye it Primus? …

No, but it looks nice waxed…

Don’t shave - instead, don’t use harsh soaps on your face unless you need to (i.e when a dog has licked you or something).

Soaps strip your natural protective oils - I very very very rarely use soap on my face (only really use it under my arms and ‘bits’ - the rest of the time only if needed!) :icon_biggrin:

Maybe avoid make-up/plastic or any other toxic creams. People make their own moisturiser - natural, is almost always best :003:

Mort, make a habit of applying Vaseline

Hi

Men shave in a certain way.

First of all very hot water on a Flannel, thus opening up the pores in the skin.

Then the application of foam soap which is rubbed into the skin.

Then the application of a very sharp blade or blades, my razor has 3, cuts off anything coming out of the skin, leaving a very smooth skin surface.

It is then cleaned off once again.

As an aside, if you want a shave, your man will be only too willing to help.

Endless fun for both of you.

I’ve heard that this is true - and slathering on vaseline even has a name …slugging or something? A few years ago I had a x8 stitches cut just on my eyebrow and got a prescription for medical vaseline (ingredients: vaseline) and instructions to slather the gel on the wound to aid healing and protect the cut from infection. No other dressing. Worked a treat and my skin around the cut was shiny and in good health afterwards.

I don’t think it’s the actual process of shaving Morty :009:
It’s probably due to a number of things. Like Swimmy has pointed out, the soaping and hot towel helps to keep the pores clean. And the smooth kissable texture only lasts for a few hours. Start shaving and the stubble will get thicker and stronger so you will have to shave more.
My Dad gave me an electric razor when I first started shaving and he told me I will always be happy with the shave if I only use it and not a wet blade. I have never ever used a blade to shave with and I still get a very smooth shave with an electric.
Furthermore…despite what you hear in the media, ladies are very different from men, and not just in a visual sense. Their/your skin is composed differently due to different hormones, only as you age and hormones become unbalanced do ladies start growing facial hair.
The age of everybodies skin also varies by the food you eat, exposure to the sun, and above all…Smoking!
