Inattentive/ bad drivers are becoming more prevalent

Yesterday I twice observed drivers going through red lights forcing the correct driver to stop lest a collision occurred.
Today, on a suburban street, an oncoming car was heading directly for me and had to swerve severely to avoid hitting me.
I need to become even more cautious to avoid becoming a statistic.

So it’s not just the uk then…over here driving standards have fallen well below what they should be, nobody thinks anymore, they just drive on auto pilot…

If a young person is caught driving badly or has an accident, it is reported as a person caught driving badly or having an accident.

If an old person is caught driving badly or has an accident, it is reported as an old or elderly person driving badly or having an accident.

Not fair when both might be as good or as bad as each other.

Perhaps they’re practising for their cycling proficiency tests? :grimacing:

I wonder if this is caused by the number of gadgets in cars. My sister in law drives a car with a very large screen centered under the front windscreen, when in the car with her I find it very distracting and she often taps the screen to change radio frequency, check traffic, look at sat.nav etc.

It’s Leccy cars fault, no gear selection, no engine noise, folks are simply dropping off to sleep
