Hi Lauretta, so sorry to hear of the sad loss of your Mum and a year is no time at all for a major bereavement like that, the one year anniversary is a really tough time and it all comes flooding back. It’s understandable that you want to hide away with all that pain inside. Reaching out to others can help a little and you have done the right thing in finding a site like this. A lot of people will have suffered the loss of a dearly loved one and understand how devastating it is.
Don’t worry about the weight for now, that will come off when you are feeling better in yourself.
One thing which does help lift you a bit is doing some regular exercise more for the mood benefit really and I know it may be the last thing you want to do, maybe it would be an option to join a class in the evening. You could do pilates or maybe a salsa class or something along those lines. It is something which has helped me and I never feel like going but am always glad I did afterwards!
