Runner on third got hit on the ankle from a ball hit by the batter.
That must have hurt.
Earlier, two fielders collided going for a catch. Both ended up on their backs.
Earlier still, a batter got hit on the elbow and retired hurt.
Dangerous game this Baseball
I never watch any sport ever.
You used to play/watch sport but gave it all away?
@Bretrick If able-bodied basketball hits the spot for you, then try wheelchair basketball or rugby for even more thrills and sheer bravery.
Personally I do not like basketball. Far too many stoppages.
I get my kicks out of Cricket (Test matches are the best), Aussie Rules football, Baseball and local Soccer.
Way back in the 1960s, I worked for Sydney’s TCN9 as a Senior Technician and one of my jobs was to broadcast the feed of VFL match of the day from Melbourne. It was Victorian Football League in those day before it went nation wide.
As I say I am not a sports fan but I sort of got to enjoy VFL because I had to watch it, it was fast and furious though to this day I have absolutely no idea of the rules.
When my middle son was young I used to have to take him to watch his beloved Illawarra Steelers play Rugby League at WIN Stadium in Wollongong bored me silly I usually read a book on the hill. He is now a Canberra Raiders fan and season ticket holder. Again I have no idea of the rules.
When I was at school in the UK I was forced to play soccer on rock hard frozen pitches in the middle of winter - of course this was in the days of centre forwards and inside rights etc. Have hated soccer with a passion ever since. Though when I lived in Finsbury Park I used to go to Islington with a friend to watch Arsenal play - funnily enough it was one of the years they won the double. I used to know the rules of soccer, hateful game that it is.
To be fair I quite liked cricket and followed it for years in the UK (Colin Cowdrey era) and in Australia from Border until Ponting. I do know the rules of that too.
I have never watched basketball but for years bought my kids season tickets to all the Illawarra Hawks games at the WIN Entertainment Centre. I would drop them off outside and pick them up again after the game. They loved it.
