there was a guy stationary at the yoghurt section, talking on the phone.
Funny listening to him.
He would say a few words, listen, then go, yep yep yep yep yep. ![]()
Say a few words again, listen to a response and go yep yep yep yep yep.
This was repeated at least 10 times before I was finally out of earshot.
yep yep yep yep yep⦠![]()
He sounded like a thoroughly āagreeableā fellow ![]()
He was really funny to listen to. yep yep yep yep yep⦠![]()
Obviously orders from the ābossā
Iāve never heard anyone say Yep except for in a movie ![]()

Thatās the kind of discourse that ticks all the boxes during a āromanticā encounter, well most of them anyway ![]()
Just another yep man climbing the greasy pole.
Obviously a house trained chap talking to his wife. ![]()

There is a positive aspect to your experience - the chap on the phone did not have the call on loudspeaker. Too often Iām hearing both sides of the conversation, people speaking on the phone but holding the phone away from their head, shouting answers back while the callerās sentences are being broadcast for all to hear. Now that is iritating.
