They can live for a week without a head
They can hold their breath for 40 minutes
They can be as large as 6" with a wingspan of 12"
Some species mate only once but spend their whole life pregnant
They live an average of 1 year
Top speed is 3 miles per hour
They can live for 1 month without food.

I bought some deep fried cockroaches and grasshoppers from a street stall in Cambodia, I just couldn’t put them in my mouth 
I tried but couldn’t do it.

Not something I would try, Bruce.
There is so much other delicious food to eat. Why even contemplate such a ghastly thing? 
They were probably still alive. Takes more than deep frying to kill a cockroach.
