Loved that one …
Can’t even remember the first one and it was pretty cringeworthy
But this was my favourite …
Look at that hair! Even the guys had long flicked back locks.

TBH I don’t think I ever sang along to Suzi Q, back in the day I was more of a Slade, Sweet and Sparks fan.
Oh yes, I remember all of these Suzi songs, I was only an adolescent in those days. Yet again, we have proof of those great decades for music.
Anyone remember Bay City Rollers and brave enough to own up to listening to them ![]()
Of course, I was a fan of the Bay City Rollers! We always sang that chant : "B-A-Y, B-A-Y,…
![]()
Well, I was only about 10 years old! ![]()
I feel no shame owning up to enjoying cheesy 70’s pop music, in fact I celebrate it! ![]()
And yes Alexa plays Shang a Lang for me on quite a regular basis.
Would you believe that these fellas were influenced by The Bay City Rollers and 70’s glam type Brit Pop?
In fact it’s one of the first pictures I’ve seen where Johnny is smiling… I’m slightly disappointed ![]()
Goodness, they’re all so thin.
Yep!
I’m afraid these four are no longer with us!
Bad record deal, no money for food, but they’re happy making music ![]()
Never sang along to her songs, couldn’t stand them.
An absolute anthem for cheesy songs!

They were the real thing.Much more so than the Pistols,I think.
You are referring to The Ramones Mr Smith and not Middle of The Road? ![]()
But seriously, yes, couldn’t agree more! ![]()
Oh I know that song, from my childhood memories,I never knew who actually sang it! It’s catchy yes, can’t help singing along when you listen to it. ![]()
Yep, they sang some catchy songs.
This was probably their best known other hit…Soley Soley ![]()

I don’t know that one but yes, those sort of songs are just great.
I was actually a Donny Osmond fan at the time, I’m not at all embarrassed to admit that!
What about Jimmy Osmond’s Long Haired Lover from Liverpool?
I remember I had the single.
Wow, from Suzi Quatro to Jimmy Osmond, yes I know, getting off the subject but it’s all relevant to the great 70s.
I only got to appreciate many 70s artists later on in life, I was also too young at the time.
The 70’s was the greatest era for music.
I know people who prattle on about the 80’s but everything was so synthetic, and the Syndrum sound was just so false.
70’s albums are the best I think.Record companies realized they’d make more money than singles so gave the bands more time.
