How about anything goes thread

Depends what you use the sitting room/lounge for, make it into a den for your own vices

Want to lounge watching TV eating choccies? Buy a comfy sofa, nice TV or a reclining chair.

Like reading? Make a book nook, comfy reading chair, daylight reading lamp, bookshelves

Like listening to music? get a nice sound system, headset and chair

Like crafting? Forgo the three piece and use the space for a craft desk

Exercising? Use the space for a treadmill or exercise bike

It’s your space, if you don’t have guests or visitors use it for what you want, if you do have surprise guests you can always improvise

It’s a Face-in-the-Hole photo, fun to do.

Doesn’t have to be your own face if you don’t wish to show it either. Use your dogs, cats or any face.

I am very tolerant of tasteful dirt. :grinning: But not the smutty sort.

No, never ridden side saddle. Astride is much more comfortable, I liked to wrap my legs around the horses I rode, not perch on top.

I have never been on a horse’s back in my life. Rode a few donkeys as a child though.

Trying to think what dirt would be tasty. There is a trend these days for dirty fries, of course. Is that what you mean? You could try this recipe book…

This triggered a memory of a book called “rude food” which I came across in a neighbour’s house when playing with their son as a child. I wasn’t quite sure what to think as they seemed quite a prim couple lol.

I’m off to see Les Mis tonight with my family, tickets were a birthday present.
Can’t wait!

“Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!” La la la :notes: :notes:

Ohhhhhhh me and summer are going I November. Its fabulous seen it before. I’m envious zxxxx

I don’t mind a bit of dirt, never really believed that cleanliness was next to godliness thing, think it was invented by a soap manufacturer, after all a bit of dirt is more interesting than watching paint dry.

I was thinking more along a different line, but I have never eaten or even heard of dirty food.
Going back to riding astride on horse back…
One of my boyfriends once remarked that as I did ride astride technically I was not a virgin.
He then told me that was why in the days gone by young girls had to ride sidesaddle to keep their virginity intact so no future husband could say they had been deflowered before marriage.
I said to him, in this day & age not many over the age of 18 are liable to be a virgin whether they ride horses or not.
He wasn’t my boyfriend for long & he never found out either. :grinning: :grinning:

Ruthie, mucho envious! I saw that a couple of times years ago, when I was always in London going to the theatre. Many Martin Shaws, Miss Saigon, Chicago, Blood Brothers. Great fun.

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful time.

I was thinking of seeing OFAH matinee, but it clashes with my siblings meet. Dammit.

Happy birthday Ruthio and have fun.

Happy birthday Ruthio. Some miserables will be on here later tonight to here about your escapades.

Happy Birthday and enjoy :birthday::balloon:But you’ll come back singing:musical_score:

They probably thought it was “arty”, like that Japanese tradition of eating sushi off a naked woman’s body!

Nyotaimori

Enjoy your evening @ruthio and wishing you a very appy bidet

We went to the dump today. I love it, throwing out your rubbish and decluttering is fun and very cathartic

I like to hurl it in like a javelin thrower :joy:

And the dump guy called me sweetheart and helped me with a heavy one, showing my old man right up and making him look embarrassed!
