Please explain to me what half a bathroom is.
Shower/Bath and vanity only.?
No WC?
An en suite shower perhaps, no bath in it. You could say I have half a bathroom, loo, shower & sink only, gave up the bath so we had two loo’s, So much easier with kids & now I am older the shower is needed.
There is a suggestion a half bathroom has a WC and basin only.
That’s not a bathroom, that’s a downstairs closet, usually under the stairs. ![]()
Isn’t the loo and shower/bathroom a separate room anyway?
Once the kids were able to shower themselves I got rid of the bath and replaced it with a walk in shower taking the same space, I am hoping that will see me through my dotage.
The loo is next door. Perhaps that is half a bathroom?
Good heavens, Guys, what time is it in your part of the World, here it’s just gone 11 a.m.
There are many new houses with the WC and bath/shower together in the bathroom. ![]()
7.06pm here in Perth.
We did that.
What day though?
It is only 10pm on most of the east coast
9pm in Queensland
8.30pm in the NT
9.30pm in SA
7pm in most of WA (except Eula)
All in Monday
Not yesterday, not tomorrow, Monday ![]()
I really thought you were much further ahead of us than that, as it takes so long to get to Australia. Thanks both of you. ![]()
Not generally in the UK Bruce. Space is a problem in most houses, so the shower/Bath and toilet are usually found in the same room unless you’re rich and can afford an En Suite.
Mrs Fox is usually sat on the toilet while I’m in the shower, she’s got Crohn’s and takes priority…Or else…

That is why we had, still have, two loos OGF, so much easier if two need the loo. ![]()
We still use both when my Daughter is here.
We could do with two as well Tiff, but in a two bedroom bungalow we don’t really have the space. Although I could build Mrs Fox an outside one… ![]()
I had a chuckle at that. What we did was get rid of bath, add shower, put a loo in that room with sink, the other loo, divided from the original bathroom, is now on it’s own, you still have to wash you hands in the shower room though. no room for a sink.
Awwww, we got rid of the bath years ago Tiff, although Mrs Fox says she does regret not having a soak…Bubbles everywhere…
