To me Manchester is as it says Manchester, Wigan is in Lancashire and I am sure thay would rather it had stayed there.
In my defence I wasn’t sure where Wigan was so I googled it. And being lazy after a rather trying day, omitted the word “Greater”.
We learn from our mistakes, and I try to make one mistake a day so I can keep on learning.

Just to clarify. Wigan is administered by Greater Manchester (not Manchester) but we from Wigan do not accept that we’re anything but Lancashire folk. Our post codes are WN, not M.
