Hi ageis. Thank you kindly but I, and others, don’t phone on this forum. But we are happy to converse with text.
Okay Besoeker, that is not a problem
Hi Ageis.
I also have a problem with my hearing anyway. This was probably a result of the industrial environments I went into - steel mills, paper mills etc. And, of course, age doesn’t help. I get by mostly except if there several people talking at the same time. Enough.
I think you said you are/were into construction. You might be interest to know about Dibnah who was did construction work - a Steeplejack and a real character.
“Frederick Travis Dibnah, MBE, was an English steeplejack and television personality. Having a keen interest in mechanical engineering, he described himself as a “backstreet mechanic.” When Dibnah was born, Britain relied heavily upon coal to fuel its industry.”
I totally agree with you, Anthony.
Thank you Pimmy. I am interested to know about you
Hi Besoeker, I wish that we can expand more of each other
Expand away ! You probably know I’m a Scotsman from the Hills of Angus, The local town is Kirriemuir with just 4,000 inhabitants and where I went to school. called Webster’s Seminary. One of notable people from the town was James Barrie who wrote the fictional character “Peter Pan”
After school I want to university then I and a colleague and we went into business. I was the younger so I did most of the travelling - including USA. And than I retired.
C!est la vie !
What else ? My dear wife from Georgia. Two girls, one bow, all in fifties.
Hi again, Anthony!
Well, here’s a little about me, just in case you’re keeping notes! I’m 57 years young, and I have one son. I spent nearly 30 years working in human resources development, which basically means I spent decades helping people figure out their careers while occasionally wondering about my own!
I’m currently living in Thailand, but before this, I had a 10 years adventure in Florida. My husband was busy earning his master’s and PhD, and I was the supportive partner tagging along, basically, I got a degree in “Life Experience” while he collected actual diplomas!
These days, I’ve dived into the online business world beside working as an assistant for the Australian business man. I sell products on various platforms, and now I’m stepping into the world of e-books on Amazon KDP because why not add “author” to my resume, right?
So… what did I miss? Let me know if you need more fun fact😁
Good evening, besoeker. How are you doing today? I hope that you are doing fine. I apologize for the delay in response. I have been busy with chores, Paperwork and errands around here so I didn’t had chance to check with this site until now. I read what you wrote and I like the fact that you our communication is expanding and we are getting to learn more about each other as times goes by the day. Did I tell you that I am a widower and my wife died of Ovarian cancer? I have 2 sons. I am a construction engineer. my job s basically with building of roads and condominium. I love traveling and I have seen some places like the Europe , Asia and north America. I don’t know if exchanging emails and taking it from there will be fine with you.

Hi Mr Anthony. I’m sorry about your wife’s Ovarian cancer. Like you, I have travelled quite extensively and mostly on business. One of the more interesting trips was The Orient Express.
"!The Orient Express, a legendary luxury train service, originally connected Paris to Istanbul (then Constantinople) and became synonymous with opulence and adventure, attracting royalty, celebrities, and even spies. "
For me, it was the modern version of course
I wish to expand the level of friendship with you. You are an Adventurous person like me.
Can we talk more on Text by sharing contact?
Well, we can text here on this forum. We are a social bunch…)
Alright
How far did you travel on the Orient Express? I once went on the Orient Express, from London - Victoria to Folkestone. A freebie from my job! We were served tea with cucumber sandwiches, delicious! What luxury!
It was mainly around Paris. It was a project we designed for air conditioning, - the original carriages didn’t have that and there was no place to do that so we had to put them underneath the train. Bit of a challenge that was…
Howdy Ageisjustanumber1958, a very late welcome to the forum.
Good evening Anthony! I’m doing well, thank you for asking. I’m sorry for the late reply to you too. No worries about the delay. I understand how busy life can get. I’m sorry to hear about your wife, that must have been very difficult. It’s nice getting to know more about you. Let’s keep in touch here on the forum.
