Hello from Thailand

I love anything that looks old and has a sense of mystery. About a picture of the castle, there’s just something about it that draws me in.

Oh! You must be so happy to have the chance to travel to different places, even other countries. I’d love to have an opportunity like that someday! Traveling is such a great way to see the world.

Thank you again for the rose photo—it’s absolutely beautiful! I love growing roses as well, but growing them in Thailand doesn’t make them look as stunning as the one in your picture.

Greetings Pimmy. Good 2CU onboard.
Many happy memories, of the welcoming people at the SETO R&R Base Samut Prakan.
Whisper. A local Tik Tik driver told me to. “Bury a coin under a tree. And you will come back”. Alas didn’t. :smiling_face_with_tear: So if you are short of change. Its still there 4U. E

Hi Plinny. Yes, the Castle is impressive! I suppose I have been lucky with the travel - most of the time. I went to France a few times.by ferry crossing. by car - I had a lot of expensive equipment and French Customs officers decide to haul it off and put it into storage. I did get it all back when got it back home but in the mean time I had to beg and borrow our customer’s kit…

Thank you for your welcoming. we have fond memories of the places we’ve been. Even if we never get the chance to return, those memories stay with us forever, bringing us happiness every time we think of them. I feel the same way—I’ve been deeply impressed by many places I’ve visited and always wish to go back. But just reminiscing about them is enough to make me happy.

Hi Pimmy

I think Bangkok is fantastic, been 3 times with my son, then a girlfriend, then on honeymoon, with my ex wife.

I live in Shrewsbury, England.
A very historic town, many very old buildings and a Castle with huge walls.

It also has a very well known expensive school, Shrewsbury School.

I was amazed when son and I got off the SkyTrain at the terminus at the river to see a huge sign saying Shrewsbury School.

re

Oliver Cromwell destroyed or partially destroyed several castles during the English Civil War (1642–1649). He targeted Royalist strongholds to prevent further defence.
Hence nothing inside the outer walls left

Hi Pimmy!
Today has been quite mild, 14C, considering it is just early March. We have enjoyed gardening and have erected a new frame for flower bed. Earlier we had groceries delivered to our door - quite a lot of people do that these days. A couple if pictures. One I didn’t do the photograph. The other I did.

They just didn’t build things to last in those days.

I appreciate you sharing this. I wasn’t aware of it. It’s unfortunate that so many castles were destroyed, taking a piece of history with them. It’s always sad to think about how much has be😮‍💨

It’s so disappointing, they did that.

That’s warm for you? Well, for me, that’s definitely cold! I can’t wait to see your flowers bloom, make sure to share some pics! Is that your family photo? The three of you look so cute, and you all look so much alike!" . Your dog is cute too. How many dog you have?

Hi swimfeeders

Wow, you’ve seen Bangkok through so many different chapters of life, must be full of great memories! Shrewsbury sounds like a fascinating town with so much history. Wish i can visit there some day.

The pictures - to the left is my cousin, to the right is my sister and the handsome one is me ! I had/have three dogs, not it the same time. The first was when I was school age and we lived on the farm but then I left for Edinburgh and the dog stayed with my parents. After I travelled so no dog. Then I retired so we got another dog - that’s the black and white collie. Sadly, he died about a year or so and now we have this delightful Springer Spaniel. This one was on the farm.
