I shouldn’t worry about that. Your English is infinitely better than my Italian!

Disappointed you’re not going to La Scala ;-)

The Teatro alla Scala is where I see the last time there a beautiful ballet…it is a world renown opera house and Pavarotti also was sing there… may be he will changing his mind and decide to visit…I hope so! Is very worth it because it offer a true Italian experience in the arts!

Now I’m going to make you jealous. I was in Leningrad (now renamed St: Petersburg again) and visited the Maly Theatre to see the Kirov Ballet. In Moscow I went to the Bolshoi Theatre and saw the Bolshoi ballet company perform Giselle.
GAHH!!! Okay - I not like you ANY more Uncle Joe! (haha…I just only fooling to you) … That is incredible! You are a world traveler! How wonderful! … My! You doctors must make you completely well so you may traveling once again - I wish I would be able to see Bolshoi Ballet one time in my life! Oh… I truly ARE GELIOUS! Wow! Bravo Bravo!
Hello and welcome from me too. I am also in Cheshire.
Gianetta darlin’ - Moscow is not the furthest East I’ve travelled. In January 1983 I was in Siberia - spent 3 days on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Daytime temperatures were -35 o C and when the sun went down around 15.00 so too did the temperature. One night went down to -47 o C but when you add on the wind-chill factor - the tempertures were -60 o C + that was cold!!!
Uncle Joe darlin’ … WHY will you wish to travel to Siberia? Oh my! Are you aversion to the nice and warm climate? Brrrrrrr! … I suppose that it is some thing that is interesting to see, but - not for me… when I will travel, it will be to Costa Rica (in next month) and back to Italy in the fall time… Siberia I think will be at the bottom of my list…haha… beside – I already sleep next to Vladimir Putin each night - his feets are freezing! I am happy that you remain alive after experience below -60! … do you still have a nose?
I was working for Shell at the time and was sent there as the consulting engineers I was admin back-up to were sent to consult on the soviet Gas pipe line.
Ah…okay - well…then it was important that you must go to Siberia for you work. Otherwise I can not imagine book a vacation trip there… It was an interesting job for you then.
The most far I have been for my job is to Dominican Republic to work with mother and children for teaching health welfare. Quite rewarding work but I retorn to the US with a parasite in my foot - oh boy… that was not pleasant. Have a nice evening!
My pal returned from Thailand with a parasite on his arm.
Have been to Russia (in my earlier days it was known as the Soviet Union) on a number of occasions (prior to my sojourn to Siberia) and have stood in the crowd (I still have the photos to prove it) watching the military parade (bloody great nuclear missiles on transporters) on the anniversary of the Russian Revolution in November (I think 1969).
The only bits of Russia I’ve seen are along the waterways from St. Petersburg to Moscow, (tourist trail and very supervised), it was interesting, I’m glad I did it, though of course further into the continent and more independent would be very different.
A very warm welcome to you Tpin.
