I find it unbelievable how a school with the same dedicated headmistress can be marked down from outstanding to inadequate in one year. It seems there is a difference between the analysis carried out by each inspector. A bit like the jobsworth in the passport office when someone inmy family tried to renew their passport. Approving authority of a nurse is OK. When it is signed by a Chief Nurse, it gets rejected. Maybe Dominic Raab is correct after all. The government departments need to be disciplined.

Most probably inept inspection at that school by Ofsted officials

When I was teaching we would misquote G B Shaw by saying:
“Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach; and those who can’t teach join OFSTED”
We had some pretty dreadful OFSTED inspectors who had little understanding of teaching our subjects sitting in on our lessons.
When I first started teaching we were inspected by ex or retired teachers for the local council, which always worked well because their feedback was well informed, not a tick box exercise like now.
