Needed to do a double take, there was a doppelgänger of my mother.
Obviously, I dismissed the possibility and got on with drinking my coffee. Only glancing back no more than three times.

Not a lot. Brought back memories of her shrill voice always shrilling at us children.
So, not any good memories. Amazing how alike this lady was.

I have seen the odd doppleganger of my partner - saw a guy with shorts in winter, baseball cap, glasses, beard, a bit younger - 50’s? 60’s? but like he was in his prime…it was alarming cos my partner died in 2024.
Oddly drawn to people who look like him, but also stay away, if you get my drift…not good to project something they have no idea about onto them!

I’ve had one of those moments too.
As a teenager on a train I saw the spitting image of my deceased dad sitting across the aisle, facing me. He even had his old jacket on and dressed like him. … felt quite spooky at the time and did upset me a tad.
Wishful thinking I guess.
Shows the one’s we love will stay with us in our hearts forever.
