That’s my laundry method of drying too. I have a tumbly as before we moved inland a crow flown mile, our home was right on the sea’s edge, or as close as a house could be and with the prevailing SW winds coming directly off the sea, the salt laden air affected line dried washing. Occassionally, the wind direction would change for a day or two and then line washing was possible, but usually the tumbly had to be used.
I only have a tumble dryer since we had dogs.
Wow! I would never have thought of drying a dog in a tumble dryer. Really brilliant idea ![]()

My rotary line is close to the patio so I don’t need to walk on the lawn.
Mine was originally nearer the camera in that photo and the path came right up to it but I built a double carport next to the garage I had to move the hoist so it is now in the middle of the lawn and the original path goes nowhere ![]()
The original socket (and cap) is still there but so well covered by grass I can’t find it.
That is either a huge dryer or a small German Shepherd.
Some of those US driers are huge especially if its a gas fired type.
I’ve got a washing line in my kitchen. My mum and granny had one too. It’s a proper line on a pulley, dad put mine up years ago
I dry outside on a trad straight line if I possibly can, winter and Summer but if needs must
