Every Sunday I have a small glass of sherry before lunch – only time I drink sherry – I have no idea when or why I started this habit but if I don’t do it I get the feeling something is missing!! Anyone else have a habit and have no idea why they do it?
I have loads of these.
I guess my worst one is I can’t really start the day without my coffee.
I also do a lot of writing, but for some reason, I’m only comfortable doing it last thing at night and never during the day.
I agree about the coffee - although that is not a habit, it is a necessity!! ![]()
My wife says my coffee “keeps the grumpy away”. No idea what she means!

Congregating at the bus stop every morning.
AA could help Sheila
Don’t think I need AA My drinking consists of one small glass of sherry on Sunday and the occasional glass of wine - the last bottle lasted 10 days! (Thank you for your concern

When driving, I don’t look at the other cars or who’s driving, even in my small town. I focus on reading the license plate numbers…I know what neighbors have those plates! When on the interstate or large cities, again, I watch the plate numbers. Couldn’t tell you if a red or green car passed by, but I can tell you their license plate number!
time you started looking at the road ahead righty and get out of first gear ![]()
Thinking about it, I dare say this habit might have started when working in Traffic at the NY State Police HQ. I had to make sure all trooper reports sent to our capital had the correct license plate number matching the vehicle and owner. ![]()
Question solved about my habit. Good detective work, eh? ![]()
I think I’d make a reliable witness, I observe things, that’s what life is all about.
My father taught me to scan the horizon, mid ground, then foreground. I guess the army taught him that. Sounds mad not checking the foreground first.
People interest me. In my old age I judge TV presenters by, not what they say, but what they wear and their makeup. Some people have it, some people don’t. And bottle blonds turn green under the studio lights, why don’t they know that. I’m in the wrong job.
