A local 11 year old boy told his parents he wanted to enlarge his koi carp fish pond. His parents told him, if he wanted it he would have to earn the money to pay for it. His father said they thought he would probably sell some of his old toys but he disappeared into the garden shed and after a few false starts started making bird boxes and planters and went around his neighbours to sell them. His work was so good people started asking him to make things for them. He is so successful he makes things to order and he now says he is hoping to make enough money to visit Japan! All this has been done under the supervision of his parents, who are, unsurprisingly very proud of him. So different from those who sit around thinking “the world will provide”! I see a very successful future for this young man

Too much thinking and not enough grafting today Sheila.
Somebody in the woodworking business should take him under their wing, he’s got so much potential it would be wasted in university.
University would teach him to sup lager, take drugs and find him a wife…Both of my Grand daughters came out of uni with a bloke and not much else. Neither of them are doing the jobs they are now qualified to do.
Still doing well though…
