A storm is coming, the gust front is blowing through the palm trees.
Thunder and lightning knocks me out not unlike the way my dad’s driving and my parents soothing conversations did when I was little.

Calm skies tonight but frenetic activity in the kitchen with the anticipation of friends coming over for a beach day and lunch, followed by university son home from a summer internship. 60s Motown, practicing Flamenco steps, and wielding kitchen knives under a waxing moon might not be normal, but it sure stirs things up on a still summer night.
