Sweetie Pie, I lost a back to my earring while I was surfing today, and as I don’t have any jewelry at my little beach place, I started fretting; I had to figure out a way to improvise or my lobes they would close up in a New York minute. (Remember, I am a novice to all this ear piercing business.)
“Cork!” I thought spying a rack full of wine bottles I rarely open, and it is Friday evening…
Fumbling with the bottle opener, I mumbled “What am I going to do with all this wine?”
And out of nowhere, came the voice of my sweet, innocent twenty-year-old…
“Well, I guess you’d better start drinking!” 
All I will confess at this point, is that my earring is securely in place.
